This workshop will benefit students and professionals who seek insight into the United States Cap-and-Trade market. We will explore the state of the market and the use of carbon offsets.

The course provides participants with a brief overview of the global carbon markets. We will then look at pending US legislation, existing regional carbon markets such as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and The Climate Action Reserve (CAR). With the background established, we will discuss the way carbon offsets are created and utilized for compliance purposes.
