The Minority Enterprise Development Week Committee is planning the 23rd Annual MED Week Celebration in recognition of the accomplishments of multicultural business owners throughout Philadelphia. The Committee is a consortium of City agencies, private business owners, business advocacy organizations and associations. In Philadelphia, for the past 23 years, our celebrations have included informative and educational workshops and seminars.
New this year will be a two-day conference concluding with an Awards Luncheon. In conjunction with Mayor Michael Nutter’s vision for Philadelphia, our theme is “Open Minds to Diverse Opportunities.”
The luncheon will provide the Committee an opportunity to showcase minority business owners and supporters who distinguish themselves as contributors towards the goals of economic empowerment in the City. We have targeted business constituencies of the various Chambers in the Delaware Valley, and anticipate over 500 attendees.
